I’ll admit, there’s not a lot of Taylor Swift on my Spotify playlists (only 2 songs I think). But because my wife is going to see her this weekend, I feel like I’m pretty familiar with her back catalogue now - there’s basically been nothing else coming out of our UE Boom for the last few weeks 😂.
But Taylor Swift is more than a musician.
She’s a business titan.
She’s the owner of some of the most valuable intellectual property in the world.
And her concerts (and the hype about getting tickets to them) are a unique cultural phenomenon.
And those concerts give us a chance to think and learn about some pretty important money concepts as well. Things like marketing, FOMO, it’s impact on our decision making with money and how we should use our money to do things that we value.
That’s why a few months ago I wrote a long, paid subscriber only post about all those things.
And on the eve of the madness and excitement of her Eras Tour landing in Australia, I’ve decided to unlock it and make it free and available to read for all of you (link below).
I’ll ask just one favour though (which you don’t have to do, it’s up to you): if you read the post, and think:
‘Oh that’s interesting or informative’, or
‘Wow, I didn’t know that’, or,
‘Hm, I’ve never thought about it like that before’, then,
will you considering forwarding it on to just one person?
The reason is this. I’d love for Money Chats to help more people like you in 2024. And the best way to do that is by asking you guys to share it with people that you know, who you think might benefit from it, or who would find it interesting.
Anyway, enjoy.
And if you’re going to the concert, have an incredible time!
